Pyrographic painting: wood burn, acrylic and plaster on wood panels

My work is best described as Pyrographic Painting. Wood panels are etched by a wood burning tool, with drawing and mark marking embedded into the surface of the wood, and a torch is employed to paint shadowy form with fire. On other panels, the burns serve as undercurrents for venetian plaster and acrylic paint, animating the expressive, organic form.
