195. Kim Whiteside + Pom Pom Quarterly

Acrylic paint and inks on canvas and paper, hand-dyed wool yarn

A collaboration between Kim Whiteside and Pom Pom, exploring vivid color, pattern, and texture via paint and wool fiber, respectively. Whiteside's work starts with color, using layers and treatments to create saturated color fields that draw in the viewer. Similarly, works by fiber artists featured in Pom Pom use hand-dyed wools to create richly nuanced knitwear that evokes painterly brushstrokes.
