Vintage and antique textiles, torn fibers, beading, and other discarded materials

With the pillow form as my canvas, I upcycle vintage textiles and discarded materials. Color and texture are at the heart of my inspiration. This piece features beading from a Victorian mourning cape woven into torn fabric. My creations allow the viewer to experience everyday items, many with historical significance, reinterpreted into fresh contemporary artwork telling their own unique stories.
